The appellant Insurance Company has filed an appeal for reduction of the award dated 23.05.2020 passed by the learned MACT, awarding a compensation of Rs.35,75,616/- along with interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of claim petition. On appeal, the insurance company deposited entire awarded amount with up to date interest in terms of the order dated 20.11.2020 passed by this Hon'ble Court to be deposited before the concerned tribunal.

After comprehensive discussions, it is agreed between the parties that out of the deposited amount along with the accrued interest, lump sum amount of Rs.2,25,000/- shall be refunded to the appellant insurance company and balance amount along with up to date total interest shall go to The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The learned counsel for the Insurance Company also submits that the statutory amount with interest, if any, may be refunded to the Insurance Company.

The learned counsel for the respondents submits that the balance amount be released.

The lump sum amount of Rs.2,25,000/- be refunded to the Insurance Company.

The balance amount lying deposited before the concerned Tribunal in terms of the settlement along with total accrued interest be released to the respondent(s)/claimant(s) as per the proportion of the Award subject to fulfilment of all the requisite formalities.

7.

The statutory amount of Rs.25,000/- with interest, if any, be refunded to the Insurance Company.

8.
