This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 2.

It is stated in the petition that the Sole Arbitrator was appointed by this Court on 29.04.2022 and pleadings were completed on 09.11.2022 after the Arbitrator entered upon reference. Twelve months period expired on 08.11.2023, however, the mandate of the Arbitrator was extended by six months with the mutual consent of the parties, which period also expired on 08.05.2024. The mandate was extended by a period of one year w.e.f. 09.05.2024 by this Court vide order dated 28.05.2024 passed in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 435/2024. It is further stated that evidence of the parties stands concluded and the arbitral proceeding is at the stage of final arguments. Mandate of the learned Arbitrator is stated to have expired on O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 402/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. 08.05.2025 and in this backdrop, extension of the mandate is sought. 3.

Issue notice.

Mr. Kunal Kher, learned counsel for the Respondent accepts notice and on instructions, submits that the Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 5.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of six months from 09.05.2025. 6.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
