O R D E R

% 11.04.2017 By an order dated 06.01.2017, the respondent was directed to consider that the payment recommended be made along with interest @ 6% per annum. The learned counsel for the respondent states that although the same is acceptable to the concerned Chief Engineer; he sought a clarification whether he is empowered to award any interest. In view of the above and considering the fact that the sum recommended is only `32,088/- and the petitioner has been waiting for the said sum since several years, it is directed that the amount as recommended i.e., `32,088/- be paid along with interest at the rate 6% per annum from 28.08.1998 till the date of payment. The said payment shall be made within a period of six weeks from today. This is acceptable to the Petitioner in full and final settlement of his claims.

The petition is disposed of.
