The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. read with Section 528 of the BNSS seeks the following prayers: - "(i) Allow the present petition and issue a writ/order/direction in the nature of mandamus and grant parole to the petitioner Javed Ali for a period of 1 month from the date of his release in FIR No: 212/2006, P.S: Mandir Marg U/S: 302 IPC r/w Section25/27 Arms Act; (ii) Pass such other writ/order/direction as this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case."

Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, who appears on advance notice, submits that the petitioner had not made any representation to the competent authority. In view of the same, it is directed that the present petition be treated as a representation to the competent authority and the latter is directed to decide the same in accordance with procedure applicable within a period of 10 days from today under intimation to the petitioner. 5.

The present petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. 6.

Copy of the order along with the present petition be communicated to the concerned Jail Superintendent for information and compliance. 7.
