The present petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking that the respondents be directed to facilitate the medical treatment of the petitioner's son i.e. Master Gulame Julani [aged around 7 years] who suffers from various ailments including a heart ailment namely "acyanotic heart disease" on account of being born premature.

It is submitted that the petitioner's son requires medical attention, however, the petitioner does not have the financial means to afford medical treatment for his son at private medical facilities and thereby seeks that the same be provided by AIIMS / respondent no.1.

Learned counsel for AIIMS (respondent no.1) does not oppose the present petition.

In the circumstances, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.1 to facilitate medical examination of the petitioner's son by the concerned doctors in AIIMS, and impart proper medical treatment. Let the same be done as per the applicable guidelines / procedures of AIIMS. 7.

Learned counsel for respondent no.1 submits that efforts shall be made to ensure expeditious medical examination of the concerned child. 8.

In the case if any surgical intervention is required, the necessary advise to this effect shall be given to the petitioner. If requested by the petitioner, the respondent no.1 shall endeavour to ensure that the requisite surgery is performed as expeditiously as possible. 9.
