The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that appropriate directions be passed to transfer the investigation of this case from the District Investigation Unit (DIU) to any other investigation agency. 2.

Mr Rahul Mehra, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State submits that for the expeditious completion of investigation, it may be apposite to transfer the investigation to the Crime Branch. 3.

In view of the above submissions, it is directed that the investigation in FIR No.81/2018 under Sections 420/120-B of the IPC registered with P.S. Subhash Palace be transferred from DIU to the Crime Branch. 4.

The Commissioner of Police is directed to take all necessary steps for transferring the investigation as directed. The investigation shall be conducted under the supervision of the concerned DCP.

The Investigating Officer is directed to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible. No further orders are required to be passed in this petition, the same is disposed of.
