% 09.04.2018 By this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., petitioner has prayed for quashing of FIR No. 390/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, registered at police station Seelampur, on the complaint of respondent no.2.

Respondent no.2 Ms. Shama is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Naveen of police station Seelampur. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Mediation Cell, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 4th October, 2016.

Respondent no.2 submits that she has received entire settled amount of `4,10,000/- from the petitioner and is not willing to pursue criminal proceedings any further and has no objection in case aforesaid FIR is

quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 and 5.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
