This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 3 months for making the Arbitral Award. 2.

The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 31.03.2025. 3.

and the matter has been reserved for Award on 29.06.2024. Further, the delay has occurred on account of the voluminous nature of the arbitral proceedings.

For the said reasons issue notice, Mr. Gautam, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and states that all his legal contentions be left open to be adjudicated in accordance with law, if required.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 6.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 3 months from today. 7.

The period from 31.03.2025 till today stands regularised. 8.

Without prejudice to the rights of the respondents to raise all legal objections and without admitting any facts stated herein, the petition is disposed of.
