O R D E R

The present petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is stated to be a Secretary of the Azad Cooperative Group Housing Society, raising a grievance as regards unauthorized construction being carried out at Block Nos. D, F, K, L, M and N, Azad Apartments, Plot No.111, I. P. Extension, Patparganj, Delhi.

Learned counsel for the MCD, who appears on advance notice, submits that the property in question shall be inspected forthwith or within a period of one week from today, taking into account the averments made in the present petition and in case any unauthorized construction is found to be carried out, appropriate action shall be taken with regard thereto. 3.

It is further assured and undertaken, on instructions, that if any unauthorized construction is ongoing, urgent steps shall be taken to bring the same to an immediate halt.

In view of the aforesaid, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition at this stage; the same, along with pending application/s, is accordingly disposed of.

The MCD is directed to file a compliance affidavit within a period of eight (08) weeks from today.

In case there is any deficiency in the action taken by the MCD, the petitioner shall be entitled to avail appropriate remedies, in accordance with law.
