This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioners under Section 29A

(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (81996 Act9) seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of one year w.e.f. 19.04.2025.

Disputes having arisen between the parties, this Court appointed a Sole Arbitrator on 08.04.2022 in ARB. P. 631/2021. Pleadings were completed on 10.12.2022 and recording of evidence commenced on O.M.P. 19.08.2023. By order dated 05.07.2024, this Court in O.M.P. (MISC.) 24/2024 extended the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator by one year w.e.f. 20.04.2024, regularising the previous period. 5.

It is stated in the petition that the period extended by the Court has expired on 19.04.2025. On 28.04.2025, cross-examination of CW-3 was conducted, which is to continue on 26.05.2025 and therefore, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator be extended.

Issue notice.

Learned counsels, as above, accept notice on behalf of the respective Respondents and on instructions, submit that the Respondents have no objection to the extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 8.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of nine months from 22.05.2025 and period between 20.04.2025 to 21.05.2025 is regularised. 9.
