This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 2.

Disputes having arisen between the parties, in a pending appeal before this Court being FAO (COMM) 50/2022, vide order dated 25.04.2023, the Division Bench appointed a Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes, with the consent of the parties. It is stated in the petition that arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments and since the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is expiring on 29.05.2025, the mandate be extended so that proceedings are concluded and the arbitral award is passed. 3.

Mr. Sidharth Mahajan, learned counsel for the Respondents accepts notice and on instructions, submits that the Respondents have no objection to the extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 5.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of six months from 30.05.2025. 6.
