O R D E R

% 19.09.2019 The above captioned petitions have been instituted under section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of two cross FIRs being FIR No.287/2019 registered under Sections 323/341/34 IPC at police station Kalyanpuri wherein there are 4 petitioners namely Dharmender, Neeraj, Kale and Deeraj while Vipin, Rakesh and Mohit Chauhan are the respondents and in FIR No.288/2019 registered under Sections 308/34 IPC at police station Kalyanpuri wherein Vipin, Rakesh and Mohit Chauhan are three petitioners while Dharmender, Neeraj, Kale and Deeraj are the respondents.

Learned ASC for the State submits that the petitioners and respondents in both the petitions are neighbours. A dispute over a trivial issue led to the registration of the aforementioned FIRs.

All the petitioners and respondents are present in the Court along with their respective counsels and have been identified by the investigating officer. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the parties that with the intervention of well wishers and respected members of the society, the parties have settled their dispute amicably in terms of Compromise Deed dated 09.06.2019, copy whereof is on record as Annexure P-3. All the respondents, who are present in the Court admit the factum of settlement arrived at with the petitioners and they further state that they have entered into a settlement with the petitioners on their own free will and without any undue influence or coercion from any source whatsoever. They further state that in view of the settlement, they have no objection if the aforementioned cross FIRs are quashed.

In view of the above facts, no fruitful purpose would be served in continuing criminal proceedings against the petitioners. Accordingly, the aforementioned FIRs and consequential proceedings thereof, are hereby quashed.

Both the petitions stand disposed of.
