The petitioner has filed the present application seeking bail in the case related to FIR No.269/2018 registered with PS Baba Haridas Nagar. The allegation against the petitioner is that he had physically assaulted one Mr. Raman Kumar. It is alleged that he had done so only for the reason that Mr Raman Kumar belongs to the SC/ST Community. It is alleged that Mr Raman Kumar and the petitioner and his family live in Baba Haridas Enclave and are neighbours. It is stated that other neighbours are also of upper caste and therefore have not come forward to support the complainant's version of the incident.

It is seen that the petitioner has been in custody for over one month. 3.

The learned APP appearing for the State states, on instructions, that the chargesheet is ready and would be filed shortly. 4.

It is apparent from the above that the investigation is complete. And, clearly, there is no requirement of any custodial interrogation. Accordingly,

the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing a personal bond of ₹10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Trial Court.

The petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi without the permission of the concerned Trial Court. The petitioner shall ensure that he shall not contact the complainant or any of the witnesses. The petitioner shall also ensure that he shall appear before the concerned Trial Court on all occasions as and when called upon to do so. Needless to state that if any of the conditions are violated, the bail granted to the petitioner shall be cancelled.
