Issue notice. Mr. Premtosh K. Mishra, learned Central Government Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of respondent No. 1, and Mr. Samdarshi Sanjay, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos. 2 and 4.

The petitioner, who is working as a Senior Manager at Energy Efficiency Service Limited ["EESL"], has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, aggrieved by the fact that he has not been given any promotion since he joined the said post in the year 2017 as a regular employee. who have joined alongwith him have been given promotions. He has also made representations on 13.05.2024, 19.06.2024, and 01.10.2024 to EESL, which have not been answered.

Mr. Sanjay, however, submits that the petitioner's case will be considered, and necessary orders will be passed within a period of eight weeks from today. However, he points out that the petitioner has been subjected to disciplinary proceedings, which resulted in the imposition of a minor penalty, as pointed out in his representation itself. 4.

The writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the EESL will consider the petitioner's request for promotion within the period of eight weeks from today. All relevant considerations may be taken into account in accordance with law.
