O R D E R

% 14.07.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No. 729/2000 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Hauz Khas on the complaint of respondent no2, may be quashed.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by Insp. Afsar Raza of police station Hauz Khas. Her statement, on oath, has been recorded separately. She has stated in her statement that she has compromised the matter of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled

their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 729/2000 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Hauz Khas and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
