The present petition under Article 226 read with 225 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the BNSS seeks the following prayers: - "a. Allow Writ petition under Article 226 of the of India read with section 528 BNSS for the issuance of Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other writ, order or to grant parole for a period of two months to the petitioner.

b. Take appropriate actions against the respondent under 215 of the Constitution of India; and c. Pass any other order or further orders, which this Hon' deems fit and proper in the interest of justice;"

up a status report dated 22.05.2025, authored by Superintendent Central Jail No.2, Tihar, New Delhi, in the Court today and the same has been taken on record. In the said status report, it is stated that the present petitioner has been directed to be released on second spell of furlough vide order dated 09.05.2025 passed by competent authority. It is further recorded therein that the application of the petitioner for grant of parole was rejected by the competent authority vide order 1318/19 dated 15.05.2025. Let the copy of the status report be supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner. 5.

In view of the fact that the petitioner has been granted furlough, the present petition is disposed of as infructuous. 6.

Needless to state that the petitioner will be at liberty to challenge the order rejecting parole in accordance with law. 7.
