This is a Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 BNSS seeking direction to respondent No.1 for granting protection to the petitioners. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the cousin of petitioner No.1 got married with the son of respondent No.2. Due to matrimonial discord, the cousin of petitioner No.1 filed a divorce petition against son of respondent No.2. The son of respondent No.2 committed suicide on 26.04.2025 due to which the respondents are having grudge and personal vendetta against the petitioners and not only threatened them but attacked the petitioners property. It is further submitted that despite complaints to the police including DD No.43A dated 26.04.2025, no protection has been provided and the threats are still continuing.

Learned ASC appearing for the State submits that contact numbers of the SHO and the Investigating Officer have already been shared with the petitioners and all out efforts have been made to ensure the safety and security of the petitioners. 4.

It is the duty of the State to protect the life and property of the citizens and this Court being the Constitutional Court is expected to further the Constitutional rights of the petitioners. 5.

In that view of the matter, respondent No.1 is directed to ensure safety and security of petitioners and their property and ensure that no harm befalls on them. SHO, P.S.Rajpark is directed to share his own contact details as also that of the Investigating Officer and beat officer of the area with the petitioners so that in case of any imminent threat, suitable action may be taken by the authorities. Let the Beat officer call upon petitioner No.1 before 7 PM every day atleast for next two months to instil sense of safety and security to the petitioners. 6.

With the aforesaid direction, the present petition stands disposed of.
