O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued for providing police protection to the petitioners. It is the petitioners' case that they have married contrary to the wishes of respondent nos.2 and 3 (parents of petitioner no.1). The petitioners have also expressed apprehension regarding their safety as they allege that respondent nos.2 and 3 have threatened petitioner no.2. 2.

Notice in the said petition was issued on 09.08.2019. Thereafter, a status report has been filed which indicates that respondent nos. 2 and 3 had been called to the police post and they have given in writing that they shall not interfere in the life of their daughter. In addition, the petitioners have been provided the contact numbers of Beat/Division/IC PP Madipur/SHO and the petitioners can contact any of the said officials in case of any imminent threat.

The status report indicates that directions have also been issued to the Beat/Division staff to keep in touch with the petitioners and visit their home regularly.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed. 5.

The petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
