O R D E R

% 05.02.2018 The present contempt petition has been filed alleging non-compliance of order dated September 21, 2017, in as much as the respondent has not considered the application of the petitioner for appointment as Notary Public within eight weeks from the date of the order. It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the application has been answered back by the respondent stating that the same has not been forwarded through the District Judge / Presiding Officer as per Rule 4 (1) Notaries Rules, 1956. Learned counsel for the petitioner states, the petitioner is ready to apply online and also get the application routed through District Judge / Presiding Officer under Rule 4 (1) Notaries Rules, 1956.

Noting the said submissions made, it is directed the petitioner shall file an online application and also ensure that an application is also forwarded by the District Judge / Presiding Officer. The respondent shall consider the same within eight weeks from the date of receipt of the application from the District Judge / Presiding Officer. The contempt petition is disposed of.
