Respondent nos.2 to 4 are present in Court and have been identified by SI Raghu Kumar of police station Kanjhawala. Respondent nos.2 to 4 submit that they have settled the matter with the petitioners with the intervention of respectable members of their family on their own free will and without any force, pressure or coercion from any source. It is submitted that the parties are neighbours and have no objection in case the FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind the facts and circumstances as detailed above, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 283/2019 under Section
308/34 IPC registered at Police Station Kanjhawala and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
At this stage, learned ASC submits that some punishment in the form of social service may be imposed upon the petitioners. The petitioners have volunteered to render their services in an old age Home.
Heard.
In view of the above submission, the petitioners are directed to visit old age Home nearby their house, namely, Vridha Ashram in Village Jaunti for four Sundays starting from next Sunday i.e. 08.09.2019 and render their services to the old persons.
The Manager, Vridha Ashram, Village Jaunti is directed to assign the work to the petitioners on all four Sundays, starting from 08.09.2019. He is further directed to issue a Certificate to the petitioners to the effect that they have rendered their services to his satisfaction. The petitioners are directed to submit the certificates issued by the Manager of the aforesaid ashram, before this court on next date of hearing. List for filing compliance report on 31.10.2019.
