The petitioner has filed the present application seeking interim bail for a period of one month to meet his family on the occasion of Bakra Id. Although the festive occasion of Bakra Id is over, nonetheless, the counsel for the petitioner submits that the health of the petitioner is deteriorating and he wants to meet his family once, as he apprehends that he may not survive his ailments.

The learned APP appearing for the State confirms that the petitioner is being treated for his heart ailment at G.B. Pant Hospital. Considering that (i) the petitioner has been released on bail on an earlier occasion of the marriage of his daughter and had not misused the bail; and (ii) that the petitioner is ailing, this Court considers it apposite to grant the petitioner interim bail for a period of one week.

The petitioner would submit a bail bond in the sum of ₹20,000/- with

one surety of an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court. The petitioner shall not try to contact any of the witnesses. He shall also not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi and shall surrender after a period of one week from his release.

Since the petitioner is ailing and is being treated at G.B. Pant Hospital, he is also at liberty to approach the said Hospital if required. However, the petitioner shall not approach any other hospital while on bail. 5.

Needless to state that if any of the aforesaid conditions are violated, the bail of the petitioner shall be cancelled. 6.

The petition is disposed of.
