Counsel for respondent appears and seeks time to take instructions with respect to compliance of payment of simple interest which had been awarded on the compensation by order dated 19th March 2024 in W.P (C) 786/2019.

The compensation amount has already been awarded to the petitioner, however, a simple interest which amounts to about Rs. 3,168/- still remains to be paid.

Considering the facts and circumstances, it is directed that the said amount shall be paid to the petitioner, within the next four weeks. 4.

Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. 5.

Petitioner is at liberty to re-agitate the matter. 6.
