This is a petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.PC seeking quashing of the FIR No. 0586/2022 dated 11.08.2022 under section 135 of the Electricity Act, 2003 registered at PS Jafrabad, New Delhi. 2.

It is stated that an FIR was registered for theft of electricity by the petitioner for her residential premises.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement before the Lok Adalat wherein the petitioner has paid the entire amount of arrears and fine and the respondent No.2 i.e. the BSES has granted No Dues Certificate.

The petitioner is present through video conferencing mode along with Mr. Shivam Gaur, leaned counsel.

No.2 and has no objection for quashing of the aforesaid FIR. 6.

Since the matter has been settled and the parties wish to put a quietus to the same, I am inclined to allow the petition as no useful purpose would served in prosecuting the petitioner any further. 7.

This Court has previously quashed FIRs in similar circumstances, such as in 'Mukesh Mann vs. State of GNCTD', CRL.REV.P.-869-2017; 'Amit Kumar vs. State (NCT of Delhi)', CRL.M.C.-240/21; and 'Dev Kaushik & Ors. vs. State (GNCT of Delhi) & Anr'., CRL.M.C-53142018. 8.

In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings.

Hence, the aforesaid FIRs and the consequential proceedings arising therefrom are quashed, subject to the petitioner depositing a sum of Rs. 10,000/- with the Delhi High Court Bar Association within 4 weeks from today.

The proof of the payment be filed with the Registry within 5 weeks, failing which the file shall be put up before the Court.
