O R D E R

The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking quashing of FIR No. 0524/2021 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at P.S. Sultan Puri, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and petitioner No.1 whereas petitioner Nos.2 to 5 are the in-laws of the complainant. 3.

Mr. Sabharwal, learned APP for the State, submits that in the present case petitioner is the only accused person and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim. He further states that charge-sheet has been filed in the present case under the aforesaid sections.

settled their dispute and that they are happily living together since the last three years.

Petitioners, who are present in Court, have been identified by his counsel as well as by the IO/ASI Rajesh Kumar and SI Himika, P.S. Sultan Puri. Respondent No. 2, who is also present in Court, has been identified by the IO.

Respondent No.2 states that she has been living with her husband i.e., petitioner No.1 since last three years and that she has no complaint against her husband or any other family members (petitioners herein). She states that she has settled her dispute with the petitioners of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed. 6.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith miscellaneous application.
