This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, challenging order dated 30.05.2019, by which the respondent-University declined pensionary benefits under the Old Pension Scheme to the petitioner.

As recorded in the order dated 02.05.2025, Mr. Tamim Qadri, learned counsel for the petitioner, had submitted that the dispute in the present case is covered by judgments of this Court in Dr. Archana Verma v. University of Delhi & Ors. [W.P.(C) 12597/2019, decided on 25.07.2024] & Chandi Prasad & Ors. v. Union of India & Ors. [W.P.(C) 3481/2019, decided on 19.09.2024].

Further to the said order, Mr. K.K. Mishra, learned counsel for the respondent, has taken instructions, and states that the issue raised by the petitioner in this case is, in fact, the same issue as decided in the aforesaid judgments of this Court.

As the issue raised in this case has, thus, been decided in favour of the petitioner in the aforesaid judgments, this writ petition is allowed and the order of the respondent-University dated 30.05.2019 is set aside. Following the said judgment, the respondent-University is directed to release the pension and terminal benefits of the petitioner within three months from today.
