This Court by order dated 23.05.2025 had issued Show Cause Notice to the respondent seeking explanation as to why proceeding under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 be not initiated.

There has been an inadvertent error. This Court by earlier order dated 02.05.2025 had directed the authorities to decide the application filed by the petitioner within a prescribed time which is four weeks. Four weeks had not expired at the time of passing the order dated 23.05.2025. Consequently, the Show Cause Notice is withdrawn.

The learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that the application of the petitioner has been considered and is forwarded to the Home Department, Govt. of NCT, Delhi for necessary orders by the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor. He submits that the respondent at this stage is not required to take any further action.

Considering the above that the application of the petitioner has already been considered and has been forwarded for an appropriate order by the competent authority, no furthers are required to be passed at this stage.

Needless to say, if the grievance of the petitioner is not satisfied, he is at liberty to approach this Court in future. 6.
