This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator by a period of one year. 4.
Disputes having arisen between the parties in relation to Letter of Intent dated 03.02.2017, at the instance of the Respondent herein, this Court appointed a Sole Arbitrator in ARB. P. 249/2021 by order dated 11.05.2021. From time to time, this Court extended the mandate of the Arbitrator and lastly, by order dated 20.08.2024 in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 566/2024. 5.

arguments as also that settlement talks are also ongoing between the parties and since the mandate has expired on 20.02.2025, the same be extended. 6.
Issue notice.

Mr. Rajeev Ahuja, learned counsel for the Respondent accepts notice and on instructions, submits that the Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 8.
Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended by a period of nine months from 26.05.2025 and period between 21.02.2025 to 25.05.2025 is regularised. 9.
Petition is allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
