The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning an order dated 19.07.2019, whereby the petitioner's request for parole was rejected.

The learned APP appearing for the State states that the petitioner's parole was rejected as six months had not elapsed since the completion of the last parole granted to the petitioner. He submits that in terms of Rule 1210 of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018, a minimum gap of six months is required to be completed before a further parole can be granted. It is seen that the petitioner was last granted parole from 22.03.2019 till 26.03.2019. 3.

In view of the above, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh application for parole within a period of one week from today. If the petitioner files the same within a period of one week from today, the respondent is directed to consider the same for grant of parole with effect from 27.09.2019.
