1. This is an application filed by the petitioner seeking restoration of the writ petition which was dismissed in default and for non-prosecution on 20.08.2024.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the present petition, the respondents have passed an order on 16.08.2024, rejecting the petitioner's claim for compassionate allowance and therefore, the petitioner instead of pursuing the present application and the writ petition, would be assailing the said order dated 16.08.2024 as per law. He, therefore, does not press the present application but prays that it may be clarified that the petitioner would be at liberty to challenge the said order.
