The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondents to provide safety and security to the petitioner.

The respondents have filed a status report which indicates that there is a property dispute in regard to property bearing No. A-221, Shastri Nagar, Delhi. It is stated that the said building is inhabited by many tenants. One Tulsi Prasad who was the chachera bhai (cousin brother) of the petitioner also resides in the said property. It is stated that there are civil cases pending between the said parties before Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi. 3.

It is clear that the petitioner is seeking police protection in the context of the said disputes. This Court does not consider it apposite to pass any

orders in this petition, as it is expected that the Police Authorities shall take an impartial view and take all possible steps to maintain peace between the parties. The phone number of a beat constable be provided to the petitioner in order to enable the petitioner (who is seventy four years of age) to contact the concerned Constable in case of emergency. 4.

The petition is disposed of.
