O R D E R

The present petition has been filed by the petitioner raising a grievance as regards the alleged dismal condition and non-maintenance of "Madina Masjid".

After some hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner confines himself to seeking that the Delhi Waqf Board be directed to act in terms of Rule 17 of the Delhi Waqf Board Regulations, 1963, in terms of which it is incumbent on the Delhi Waqf Board to appoint a "Masjid and Kabristan Committee". 3.

Respective counsel for the parties are in agreement that the Delhi Waqf Board will treat the aforesaid prayer of the petitioners as a representation and pass a speaking order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. It is directed accordingly. If so warranted, upon completion of the aforesaid exercise, requisite action in terms of Rule 17 of the Delhi Waqf The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Board Regulations, 1963 shall be taken so as to constitute the committee contemplated therein.

Let the hearing be afforded to the petitioners within a period of one week from today and a speaking order be passed within a period of four weeks thereafter.

If the petitioners are aggrieved with the outcome of the aforesaid exercise, they shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies under law.
