CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE V. KAMESWAR RAO

O R D E R

% 14.08.2019 The challenge in this writ petition is to an order dated 21st September, 2016 passed by the Central Information Commission in Second Appeal filed by the petitioner. The information sought by the petitioner from the CPIO was as under:

"1. The Xerox Copies of answer sheets of the candidate can only be provided after the completion of Admission/registration process i.e. after 25.08.1,6 2 & 3. Does not pertain to Admission Branch-1, the same may be obtained from concerned School/Centre.

4. the Xerox copies can be provided to the candidate in respect of her/his own answer script only. There is no provision in the Admission policy for re-evaluation of Entrance Exam Answer Script in JNU." Not being successful before the CPIO and the First Appellate Authority, the appellant approached the CIC. The only submission made by

the appellant before the CIC was with regard to re-evaluation of her entrance examination answer script. The CIC has held that there is no policy for reevaluation of the answer script of entrance examination. It is noted that the petitioner was given information with regard to the same and the CIC was of the view that sufficient information has been furnished. That being so, I do not think that the grievance of the petitioner for furnishing information with regard to re-evaluation of her answer script could have been acceded to by the CPIO as there is no provision for re-evaluation. I do not find any merit in the writ petition. It is accordingly dismissed. V. KAMESWAR RAO, J AUGUST 14, 2019/acm
