The present petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution for issuance of directions against the illegal demolition of Dhobi Ghat No. 7 and 9 situated at Minto Road (Press Place), Deen Dayal Upadhayay Marg, Pocket-1, New Delhi-110002. The petitioner has made the following prayer:- a. Directions be given to the respondents not to demolish Dhobi Ghat No. 7 & 9 situated at Minto Road (Press Place), Deen Dayal Upadhayay Marg, Pocket-1, New Delhi-110002 b. Or in the alternative direction may please be given to Respondents for constructing of Dhobi Ghats at new location or at any other location nearby Minto Road, Deen Dayal Upadhayay The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Pass such any other relief/order in view of the facts and circumstances of the present matter and in the interest of justice. 2.
It is stated by Mr. Bhagwan Swarup Shukla, CGSC for the respondent no. 1/Union of India and Mr. Parvinder Chauhan, Advocate for the respondent no. 4/Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) that the Dhobi Ghat No. 7 and 9 situated at Minto Road (Press Place), Deen Dayal Upadhayay Marg, Pocket-1, New Delhi-110002 has already been demolished and the occupants of the said Dhobi Ghat have already been provided residential accommodation at Sector-16B, Dwarka, New Delhi. 3.
Mr. Bhupesh Narula, Advocate for the petitioners during the course of arguments, stated that the petitioners would be satisfied if the respondents raised a Dhobi Ghat near the place of their residence at Sector-16B, Dwarka, New Delhi. He further stated that liberty be given to the petitioners to make representation to the respondent no. 4/ DUSIB regarding the raising of the Dhobi Ghat at present preferably near the place of their residence at Sector-16B, Dwarka, New Delhi.

Accordingly, the petitioners are permitted to submit a representation along with relevant documents if any, to the respondent no. 4/Chief Executive Officer of DUSIB within 04 weeks from today. Thereafter, the respondent no. 4 is directed to decide the representation filed if any, on behalf of the petitioners or any of the petitioners within a span of 08 weeks with intimation to the petitioners or their counsel. The respondent no. 4 is also directed to give personal hearing to the petitioners, if required or asked by the petitioners.

Accordingly, the present petition along with pending application stands disposed of.

The petitioners shall be at liberty to initiate appropriate legal proceedings in case of altered circumstances or against the final decision to be taken by the respondent no. 4 on their proposed representation. 7.
