O R D E R

The present petition assails the demand towards property tax of Rs.42,83,760/- in respect of the petitioner's property bearing Flat No.702, Akashdeep Building, New Delhi-110001.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said demand qua the petitioner's property is reflected on the website of the NDMC. It is submitted that no basis for the said demand has been disclosed to the petitioner.

It transpires during the course of hearing that a notice under Section 72 of the NDMC Act, 1994 dated 04.03.2011 was issued by the NDMC seeking revision of the rateable value of the property in question. Learned counsel for the NDMC submits that the said notice culminated in an Assessment Order dated 13.02.2023. Assessment Order that the concerned demand is stated to have been raised qua the property in question.

After some hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner confines himself to seeking that the aforesaid Assessment Order dated 13.02.2023 be supplied to the petitioner whereupon the petitioner shall avail its statutory/appellate remedies with regard thereto. 5.

Learned counsel for the respondent is accordingly directed to supply a copy of the aforesaid Assessment Order dated 13.02.2023 to the petitioner. Let the same be supplied within a period of 2 days. The petitioner would be at liberty to take appellate/statutory remedies, if any, with regard thereto in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the statutory appeal of the petitioner would be hopelessly time barred at this stage. This aspect shall be duly considered by the appellate authority, in accordance with law. 7.
