The present petition raises a grievance as regards the property tax bill dated 26.05.2023, raised by the respondent/NDMC on the petitioner. Vide the said bill, an amount of Rs.29,40,669/- has been demanded from the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that from the website of the respondent/NDMC, it is apparent that the demand has been raised based on the Assessment Order dated 14.02.2023, under Section 72 of the NDMC Act, 1994. He submits that a copy of the said Assessment Order has not been supplied to him till date. After some hearing, he confines himself to seeking that a copy of the said Assessment Order be supplied to him to enable the petitioner to avail its appellate remedy. of receipt of the aforesaid assessment order. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that a copy of the Assessment Order dated 14.02.2023, along with the notice/s under Section 72, shall be supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner during the course of the day itself. It is directed accordingly. 4.

Learned counsel for the respondent further submits that any statutory appeal would be hopelessly time barred at this stage. He further submits that in any event, the petitioner's locus to file any statutory appeal is doubtful as the petitioner is not the recorded owner of the property in question. It shall be for the appellate authority to consider all these aspects, in accordance with law.
