These two petitions have been filed jointly by the parties under Section 29A (4) read with Section 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of mandate of the learned Arbitral O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 415/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Tribunal.

Disputes arose between the parties with respect to Distribution Franchisee Agreement executed on 31.01.2013 for Athagarh Electrical Division and Cuttack Electrical Division, on 01.02.2013 for Nimapara Electrical Division and on 01.07.2013 for Salepur Electrical Division. Three member Arbitral Tribunal was constituted to adjudicate the disputes between the parties. From time to time, this Court extended the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. In O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 415/2025, the arbitral proceedings are the stage of rejoinder arguments of the Claimants, while in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 420/2025, the award has been reserved for pronouncement. In both proceedings, mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal will expire on 30.05.2025 and hence, extension is sought. 3.

Issue notice.

Ms. Swati Bhardwaj, learned counsel for the Respondent accepts notice and on instructions, submits that the Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal. 5.

Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal in both the matters is extended by a period of six months from 31.05.2025.

Petitions are allowed and disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
