The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner- Jai Kishan Shah under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking issuance of an appropriate writ directing the Respondents to permit the Petitioner to participate in survey in accordance with law. 4.

The case of the Petitioner is that he has been regularly vending near the Delhi Public Library, Sarojini Nagar Market, New Delhi since 1990. According to the Petitioner, the New Delhi Municipal Council (hereinafter, 'NDMC') had started a survey in 2023 under the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Scheme, 2019. Ld. Counsel for the Respondents submits that the survey is currently ongoing and the Petitioner can be permitted to participate in the said survey. 6.

Accordingly, let the Petitioner furnish all the requisite documents and other credentials to the Town Vending Committee (hereinafter, 'TVC') and upon the TVC verifying the same, the Petitioner shall be permitted to participate in the survey.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
