Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioners for quashing of the FIR No.71/2011 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at PS Maurya Enclave. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably with the respondent No.2 / complainant.

Respondent No.2 / complainant - with her counsel is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have made enquiries from respondent No.2 if the dispute has been settled
by her with the petitioners of her own free will without any fear or pressure. She has stated that the dispute with the petitioners has been resolved amicably with her free consent and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR. Remaining payment of `1.5 lakhs (in cash) has been given to her today in Court.

Petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. Divorce by mutual consent has been granted by learned Additional District Judge1 (West), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 21.08.2013. Since the matter has been settled between the parties amicably, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to put an end to the litigation and to settle in life after divorce, FIR No.71/2011 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at PS Maurya Enclave and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petitioners are directed to deposit ` 15,000/- as costs in the Prime Minister's Relief Fund within two weeks. Registry shall ensure its compliance.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
