The present petition invokes the extraordinary jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a direction to respondents no. 2 and 3, for providing protection to the petitioners from respondent no. 4.

Ms. Rupali Bandhopadhya, learned Additional Standing Counsel accepts notice and submits that to ensure the safety of the petitioners, the mobile numbers of the concerned SHO and that of the Beat Constable have been provided today to the petitioners, whom they can contact in case of any emergency.

The learned counsel for the petitioners, upon instructions, submits that, at this stage, he is satisfied with the mobile numbers being provided to him and that nothing more survives in the present petition.

They are at liberty to call the SHO/Beat Constable, in case of any emergency.

In view of the above, as the mobile numbers of the SHO concerned and the Beat Constable have been provided to the petitioner, the petition stands disposed of.
