% 21.08.2019 The Registry is directed to redact the name of the appellant in the records and show the same as 'X'.
Learned counsel for the appellant submits that Section 24 of The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court in Mukesh Gupta vs. Union of India, (2018) 1 SLR 205 lays down that no disqualification would be attached to the conviction of an offence, when the offence is alleged to have been committed when the person was a juvenile. He further submits that his instructions are that the relevant records have already been destroyed.
In view of the above, he seeks leave to withdraw the appeal. The appeal is accordingly dismissed as withdrawn. SANJEEV SACHDEVA, J AUGUST 21, 2019 rk
