This is a petition filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of three months for making and publishing the Award.

It is stated that the arguments have already been concluded. 5.

Issue notice.

Ms. Gupta, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. For the reasons noted above, I am satisfied that sufficient cause for delay has been shown. Hence, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 3 months for making and publishing the award.

The period from 17.04.2025 till today stands regularized. 9.

It shall be open to the parties to move an application before the learned Arbitral Tribunal for clarificatory hearing as the counsels for the parties state that the matter was heard about 1 year ago.
