1. The Petitioner is seeking interim bail for a period of 40 days or any period as this Court may deem fit on the ground that his wife is at the advanced stage of the pregnancy and she requires assistance and urgent care of the Petitioner.
2. Status report has been filed by the State. The relevant para is as under: "2.
That from the investigation, it is revealed that present applicant/accused is actively indulged in murder of deceased Satender @ Bhola. He may hamper the witnesses and temper with the evidences. If he may be granted bail at this stage, there is every possibility that he may jump the bail. It is also mentioned that after the incident i.e. on 03.01.2021, accused Arun @ Rikki was absconding and deliberately evading his arrest. During investigation, he was declared PO on 14.02.2022. Later on, after a long period around 3.5 years, he was arrested in the present case from Kathua, Jammu by the Crime Branch team."

Reply of the status report has been filed by ld. counsel for the Petitioner. 4.
Keeping in view the fact that the Petitioner along with other co-accused were involved in offence of murder of the deceased namely Satender@Bhola, the case is at the stage of evidence of the prosecution witness and the accused was declared proclaimed offender and was arrested on 10th July, 2024. There are also other family members to look after the wife of the Petitioner. Accordingly, this Court is not inclined to grant interim bail as prayed by the Petitioner.
