The memo of cost has been prepared by the Officer on the basis of material available on record and checked by concerned Assistant Registrar/ Administrative Officer (Judicial). As per the calculation made by the office, the cost of suit is taxed as Rs.3,68,673/-.

However, Ld. Counsel for plaintiff submits that the bill of cost prepared by them is Rs.4,14,000/-.

The concerned dealing official from Decree Branch Mr. Manish is also present today who submits that Ld. Counsel for plaintiff has added the charges towards clerkage and issuance of legal notices prior to institution of suit and hence, the same are not included in the memo of cost.

Ld. counsel for the plaintiff disagrees and submits that as per Chapter 23, Rule 5 of Delhi High Court Rules, 2018, the aforesaid charges can be considered.
