Mr. Rahul Mehra, Senior Counsel for Petitioner, draws attention to order dated 24th March, 2023, which reads as under: "1. This hearing has been done through hybrid mode.

2. Vide order dated 23rd January, 2023, the Court had directed the Respondents to make the file of the Selection The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Committee pertaining to Dronacharya Award for the years 2021 and 2022 available for perusal of the Court.

3. Today, the original record has been produced and perused by the Court. As per the record, the Selection Committee for Dronacharya Award on 26th October, 2021 had recommended the names of Mr. Jagrup Singh Rathi in Lifetime Category for Wrestling and Mr. Sandeep Sangwan in the Regular Category for Hockey.

The said decision of the Selection Committee was then considered by the Respondent No. 1-Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/Competent Authorities, and a decision was taken to defer the consideration of the candidature of the Petitioners for subsequent years. It is clear from the record that their candidature and selection has not been rejected by the Respondent No.

1-Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports/Competent Authority.

5. Mr. Soni, ld. CGSC, however, submits that their marks were lesser than other Awardees. The submissions made shall be considered on the next date.

In light of the above observations, it emerges that the Selection Committee for the Dronacharya Award has recommended the names of the Petitioners, specifically, Mr. Jagrup Singh Rathi in Lifetime Category for Wrestling and Mr. Sandeep Sangwan in the Regular Category for Hockey. Further, the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, i.e., the competent authority, has decided to defer the consideration of the candidature of the Petitioners for subsequent years. In view of the foregoing, Mr. Mehra states that the Petitioners would like to withdraw the present petitions and instead apply for the respective awards for this year (2024). 3.

In light of the above, the petitions are dismissed as withdrawn. The pending applications are also disposed of.

All rights and contentions as urged in the present petitions, including the question of law raised therein, are left open. The Petitioners shall be at liberty to apply for the Dronacharya Award, in their respective categories, for the year 2024.
