The present petition filed by the petitioners seeks the limited relief viz that the concerned SDM / respondent no. 1 be directed to expeditiously decide the application bearing no. 17196 preferred by the petitioners (senior citizens) on 30.10.2024 under Rule 22(3)(1)(i) and (iv) of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009 for the eviction of respondent nos. 2 and 3.

disposed of expeditiously and in any event within a period six weeks from today. It is assured that hearing/s shall be scheduled at short intervals so that the said timeline can be adhered to. The said statement is taken on record. 5.

Learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3, who appears on advance notice, also assures that the said respondents will not seek any further adjournment and will adhere to the schedule fixed by the respondent no. 1 in the said proceedings.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the necessary particulars of the matter, along with a copy of the application filed, shall be duly served on learned counsel for respondent nos. 2 and 3. 7.

In case there is any omission on the part of the respondent nos. 2 and 3 in appearing in the said proceedings, the concerned SDM would be at liberty to proceed ex parte in the absence of the said respondents. 8.
