The present writ petition is filed by the petitioner essentially seeking protection from certain people, who he claims have threatened him and tried to dispossess him of his property. 4.

It is pointed out that the petitioner is a senior citizen and no action has been taken by the police authorities on his complaints.

It appears that the complaint was given to the concerned SHO as recently as on 09.05.2025 and to the concerned DCP on 20.05.2025 and 24.05.2025.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy to approach the learned Trial Court in case no action has been taken on his complaint alleging any cognizable offence. 7.

She, however, on instruction, submits that the complaints given to the concerned DCP would be looked into and appropriate action will be expeditiously taken in respect to the same in accordance with law.

She further states that since the petitioner is a senior citizen, the mobile number of the beat officer will be provided to the petitioner and all steps would be taken as provided in regard to the safety and security of senior citizens. She states that the petitioner is at liberty to call the beat officer if he apprehends any immediate threat to his life and liberty.

Considering the above, no orders are required to be passed at this stage.

Needless to say, the petitioner is at liberty to take appropriate steps in accordance with law in case any grievance remains in future.

The petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid observations.
