The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that parole be granted to the petitioner for a period of three weeks for making arrangement of his niece's marriage.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the marriage of the petitioner's niece is on Sunday, that is, 25.08.2019, and the petitioner's application for parole has not been considered by the concerned authorities.

Mr Mehra, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent

points out that the petitioner had already availed of a furlough for the period of 27.07.2019 to 17.08.2019.

It is also pointed out that there must be a minimum gap of one month before a further furlough can be granted. 5.

In view of the above, this Court is unable to accede to the petitioner's prayer. However, keeping in view the mitigating circumstances and the fact that the petitioner had applied for furlough in February, 2019, which was granted subsequently, this Court considers it apposite to permit the parole for a period of three days, that is, 24.08.2019 to 26.08.2019 (all the days inclusive). The petitioner shall also provide his active mobile number to the Jail Superintendent.

The petitioner shall surrender himself on or before 10.30 AM on 27.08.2019.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 7.
