Petitioner herein had filed a petition seeking divorce. 2.

Such petition was filed on 27.01.2023 before the learned Family Court, SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab. However, in view of the fact that his wife had filed a transfer petition before Hon'ble Supreme Court, such petition got transferred to Delhi and is presently pending adjudication before the learned Judge, Family Court, District-North, Rohini Courts, Delhi. 3.

The request in the present petition is merely to the effect that learned Trial Court may be requested to expedite the disposal in a time-bound manner, preferably within a period of one year. 4.

This Court notices that earlier also the petitioner had lodged his grievance with respect to the manner in which his wife had been permitted an opportunity to contest the matter.

While disposing of such petition on 18.03.2025, this Court had observed that the learned Judge, Family Court would ensure that in future, no request for unwarranted and unnecessary adjournment from the side of respondent is entertained.

The abovesaid direction, automatically, would ensure expeditious disposal.

The abovesaid divorce petition is hardly two years old and since no acute exigency or undue hardship has been cited, there is no reason warranting any such direction to the learned Trial Court. 8.

Petition stands disposed of in aforesaid terms. 9.

Pending application also stands disposed of.
