Ms Meenakshi Chauhan, APP for State.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU
O R D E R
% 27.09.2019 1.
This is a petition filed by the petitioner seeking bail in connection for FIR No. 14/2016, under Sections 363/367/368/372/373/120B/34 of the IPC, registered with PS Alipur.
2.
The allegation against the petitioner is a serious one. It was alleged that he was involved in the trafficking of children. 3.
The FIR in question was registered at the instance of one Rinki, who had claimed that her son aged nine months had been picked up by two persons.
After investigation, the child was recovered from one Vikrant Verma.
4.
Vikrant Verma and his wife are a childless couple and are desirous of raising a child. The allegation against the petitioner is that he was one of the persons who had solicited and had sold the child in question to Vikrant Verma. The petitioner is also stated to be involved in another case of a
similar offence.
5.
The trial is being conducted and a number of witnesses are yet to be examined. Given the nature of the crime alleged and the propensity of the petitioner to influence the fair trial, this Court does not consider it apposite to accede to the petitioner's prayer at this stage. 6.
The petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
