% 02.05.2017 After some arguments learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has been in custody for six years in a case which is based on circumstantial evidence and till now the evidence of the prosecution has not been completed. He prays that the trial be expedited for hearing. Learned APP for the State on instructions submits that out of 28 witnesses cited by the prosecution 22 have already been examined and only 6 formal witnesses remain to be examined and they would be expedited. In view of the fact that the petitioner has been in custody for about six years, the learned Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably within a period of six months. No further orders are called for in the Bail Application at this stage. BAIL APPLN. 246/2017
Petition is dismissed.
